Clarence M. Cain, 86, of 29 Evergreen St., Intercourse, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Lebanon VA Hospital.
Born in Atglen, he was the son of the late Clarence and Emma (Bair) Cain. He would have been married 66 years on Sept. 10 to Mary E. (Chalfant) Cain.
Clarence graduated from the Gibson Business School in Philadelphia and worked for Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville for 35 years in the Cost Department, employment office, and the last 20 years in production control. After retirement he drove Amish Taxi and school bus for the Pequea Valley School District.
During WWII he served in the US Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Clarence enjoyed fishing and was a Phillies and Orioles fan. He was also a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family. May peace be with him.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, David Cain, Ph.D. of St. Paul, MN; and a sister, Evelyn, married to Allen Herr of Christiana.
Preceding him in death is a sister, Helen Osborne.
