Clayton S. Bowman, 97, of Ephrata, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at Fairmount Homes.

Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Henry and Emma Snader Bowman. He was married 72 years to the late Mabel Ruhl Bowman who died in 2017.

Clayton retired from Sensenig’s Feed Mill in New Holland, formerly Earl Sauder’s Feed Mill where he had worked for 33 years.

He was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.

Surviving are four children, Robert C., married to Sandra (Pickel) Bowman of Lititz, Joanne R., married to Harold Good of Anderson, SC, Joyce E., married to William Parks of Harrisburg, and Kenneth E. Bowman of Bird-in-Hand; seven grandsons; and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elva Martin, and by brothers, Ivan, Walter, Raymond, Henry, Aaron and Edwin Bowman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, at 2:00 P.M. at Mellinger Mennonite Church, 1916 E Lincoln Hwy, Lancaster. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522.
