Cristino Negron

Cristino Negron, 82, of Stevens, formerly of New Holland, died after a lengthy illness on Monday, December 11, 2017 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Francisco and Antonia (Santiago) Negron. He was married 54 years on Nov. 28 to Helen L. (Martin) Negron.

Cristino worked in the shipping Department at CNH in New Holland for several years.

He was a Phillies fan, enjoyed bowling in his younger years, and enjoyed cooking his native Puerto Rican foods.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 6 children, Yolanda Negron of Lancaster, Diana Negron of Lancaster, Linda Gonzalez of Lititz, Nelson Negron of New Holland, Susan Negron of New Holland, and Rosene Negron of New Holland; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Antonia, Meletina, and Margarita all of Puerto Rico.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 15 at 2 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Arthur Karick officiating. Interment will be in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, at the Funeral Home, from 1-2 pm. To send the family online condolences visit us at www.groffeckenroth.com.
