Dale William Richard

Dale W. Richard, 88, of New Holland, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

He was the husband of Edna (Edie) Hall Richard. Born in West Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Dayton K. and Hannah V. Keefer Richard.

Dale retired from State Farm where he had been a Damage Appraiser for 30 years. He was a member of St. Stephen Church in New Holland. He loved God, his family, his church, his Philly sports, cars and trains, trains and more trains.

Surviving besides his wife are four children, Mark D. Richard of York, David P. husband of Denise Richard of Quarryville, Deborah Richard of Eustis, FL, and Rev. John D. husband of Jamie Richard of Manassas, VA; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; honorary daughter Linda Stoltzfus, husband Michael, with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a brother Glenn Richard of Rochester, NY. He was preceded in death by a half-brother Paul Richard.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 2:30 P.M. at St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St, New Holland, PA. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Luncheon will follow the service. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Samaritans Purse (samaritanspurse.org) or the Greiner Family, missionaries (famci.org).
