Dane C. Walton

Dane Clark Walton, 66, of Leola, passed away peacefully after a brief illness to his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.

He was the son of Edna Walton the late Paul Walton and was married to Marie (Shirk) Walton for 44 years.

Surviving besides his wife and mother is a son Mark C. Walton married to Rose Marie Koenig and a daughter Michelle R. Walton married to Andrew Young. Also three sisters: Lynn Chryst wife of Richard, Deborah, widow of Kenneth Stoltzfus, and Melanie Maldonado married to David; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Cathy Shirk; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Jay P. Walton.

Dane was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Rothsville.

Dane worked in the construction field for most of his life. He enjoyed traveling and being an active member of AA.

His funeral will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 1744 Old Rothsville Rd., Lititz, PA 17543 with Pastor Karen Bongard officiating. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. If desired, memorials may be sent to Salem U. M.
