Daniel S. Martin

Daniel S. Martin, 85, of 1187 Dry Tavern Road, Denver, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home.

Born in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Raymond A. and Katie (Stauffer) Martin. He was the husband of Leah (Martin) Brubacker Martin. His first wife, Mattie, died in 1982.

Daniel was a member of Stauffer Mennonite Church, a farmer, and a store keeper.

Surviving in addition to his wife are five sons, John Dan, married to Lena (Martin) Martin of Stevens, Eugene W., married to Norma (Martin) Martin of Bainbridge, OH, Irvin W., married to Mabel (Martin) Martin of Ephrata, Lloyd W., married to Judith (Weaver) Martin of Greenfield, OH, and Eugene M. married to Arlene (Martin) Martin of Stevens; six daughters, Lucy W., married to Paul Martin of Ephrata, Alta W., married to Eugene Martin of Bainbridge, OH, Kathryn W., married to Lloyd Martin of Hillsboro, OH, Malinda W., married to Leon Martin of Bainbridge, OH, Delores M., married to Jeffrey Weaver of Stevens, and Dorothy M., married to Mark Weaver of Ephrata; 68 grandchildren; 79 great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond S. Martin of Port Treverton, and Harvey S., married to Sally (Brubacher) Martin of Bainbridge, OH; a sister Sadie S. Wanner, wife of the late Daniel Wanner of Ephrata; and a sister-in-law, Edith (Stauffer) Martin of New Holland.

Preceding him in death is a son Jonas W. Martin; four grandchildren, Shawn Weaver, twins, Kathryn and Carolyn Martin, and Kenneth Martin; and a brother, Benjamin S. Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 7:45 am at the late home with further services at 9 am at Stauffer Mennonite Church, 2530 Division Hwy., Ephrata. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the late home on Friday from Noon-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements are with the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
