Daniel J. Michels

Daniel “Danny” J. Michels, 26, of New Holland, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Media, he was the son of Andrew J. and Mary Clare (Morrissey) Michels, Sr., of New Holland.

Danny had several occupations throughout his life. Dan was a nursing home attendant, injection molding operator, and construction laborer. He was an adventurous young man, who in his spare time enjoyed playing basketball, helping others, and spending time with his friends and his loving family. Danny was an inspiration to all, an individual who had the ability to make people happy.

In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by 4 siblings: Andrew J. Michels, Jr., husband of Jana Michels, of New Holland, William “Bill” J. Michels of New Holland, Steven T. Michels of Drexel Hill, and Jessica L. Michels of Philadelphia; an aunt, Anne Morrissey, of Ocean City, NJ; a niece, Adriana Michels; and other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11 AM at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 320 Church Ave., Ephrata, PA 17522 with Father Tom Siconolfi officiating. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2 PM at the American Legion Hall of New Holland, 35 S Hoover Ave, New Holland, PA 17557.
