Daniel B. Newswanger

Daniel B. Newswanger, 58, of East Earl, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8. 2023 at Tower Health Reading Hospital.

He was married 24 years to Mabel Nolt Newswanger. Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Wayne Z. and Anna S. Brubaker Newswanger.

Daniel had been employed as a carpenter for Spring Hollow Construction. He was a member of the Churchtown Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving besides his wife is a daughter Lisa Newswanger and a son Randy Newswanger both at home; seven brothers, Wilmer husband of Edna (Hoover) Newswanger of Mohnton, Allen husband of Sue Etta (Kilmer) Newswanger of East Earl, Ivan husband of Susie (Martin) Newswanger of Goshen, IN, Samuel husband of Loretta (Martin) Newswanger of Goshen, IN, Walter husband of Elsie (Zeiset) Newswanger of Platteville, WI, Mervin husband of Martha (Hurst) Newswanger of East Earl, and Reuben husband of Martha (Fox) Newswanger of Williamsburg, PA; two sisters, Susan Newswanger of East Earl, and Ella wife of Ivan Hurst of Latham, MO. He was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Newswanger.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 13, at 9:30 A.M. at the Churchtown Mennonite Church, 2207 Main St., Narvon, PA with Bishop Leon Zimmerman officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sunny Crest Home, 2587 Valley View Road, Morgantown, PA.
