Daniel B. Shirk

Daniel B. Shirk, of Denver, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, he was 81 years old. Daniel was born in Ephrata, to his late parents, Amos Sauder Shirk and Lena (Brubaker) Shirk. His wife, Loretta Shafer (Martin) Shirk, survives at home.

Daniel worked as a truck driver and a dairy farmer. He was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his children, Marlin M. Shirk and his wife Arlene, of Denver, Marian M. Auker and her husband Roy, of Denver, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; John B. Shirk and his wife Lydia, of Versailles, MO, Mary B. Martin and her husband Harvey, of North Lawrence, NY, Annie B. Sensenig and her husband Aaron, of Versailles, MO, Ivan B. Shirk and his wife Mary, of Narvon, Eli B. Shirk and his wife Lydia, of New Holland, Sister-In-Law Lizzie B. Shirk widow of Amos Shirk, of Denver, Issac B. Shirk and his wife Lydia, of Leola, Paul B. Shirk and his wife Frances, of Cayuga, NY, Brother-In-Law Paul M. Martin widower of Lena B. Martin, of Ephrata, Emma B. Martin and her husband Raymond, of Narvon, Luke B. Shirk and his wife Betty, of Quarryville.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, beginning at 9:30 AM at Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 913 Oaklyn Drive, Narvon, PA, with Bishop Leon S. Zimmerman officiating. Viewings will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Martindale Mennonite Reception Center, 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata, PA. Burial will occur in the Bowmansville Mennonite Church Cemetery.
