Daniel K. Stoltzfus

Daniel K. Stoltzfus, 90, a resident of Welsh Mountain Home, died on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.

He was the husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” M. Sensenig Stoltzfus who died in 2016. Born in Monterey, he was the son of the late Daniel B. and Fannie King Stoltzfus.

Daniel retired as a pastor at the Worship Center where he had been employed for 10 years. He had previously operated a market stand for many years at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market. Daniel served in 1W service at a hospital in Connecticut. He was a member of the Church of the Word International in Landisville.

Surviving are three sons, Arlen L. Stoltzfus of KY, J. Brent husband of Luci Stoltzfus of Lancaster, and Daniel K., Jr. husband of Sandra Stoltzfus of Leola; a daughter, Wanda Stoltzfus of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; a brother, Joseph husband of Dorothy Stoltzfus of Leola; and four sisters, Fannie Fisher of Lancaster, Leah wife of Amos Esh of Mount Joy, Mary wife of Mark Stoltzfus of Narvon, and Mattie wife of Neil Stoltzfus of Johnson City, TN. He was preceded in death by a son Gary Stoltzfus and by siblings, Jesse Stoltzfus, Christ Stoltzfus, Anna Humphries, Rebecca Zook, Mose Stoltzfus, John Stoltzfus, Dave Stoltzfus and Reuben Stoltzfus.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 10:00 A.M. at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel’s memory may be made to Welsh Mountain Home, 567 Springville Road, New Holland, PA 17557.
