David E. Weaver, 85, of Honey Brook, died Saturday, Sept. 28 from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born in Union Grove, PA he was the son of the late David N. and Frances (Hoover) Weaver. He was married to Elsie (Hartz) Weaver for 64 years.
David was a farmer most of his life. In his early years he was a supervisor for D.H.I.A. in Lancaster and Chester counties. In his retirement he delivered car parts in the Morgantown area. He was a member Conestoga Mennonite Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Kenneth Weaver of Blue Ball; four daughters, Doris, married to Wendell Lantz of Paoli, IN, Linda, married to L. Ronald Hohl of Morgantown, Susan, married to Eugene Supplee of Coudersport, and Joyce, married to Mark Shanaman of Morgantown; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Martin of Narvon; and a brother, John, married to Margaret (Martin) Weaver of West Chester.
Preceding him in death is a brother, Hoover Weaver; and a sister, Florence Weaver.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 am at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown with the Reverend Robert Petersheim officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 am.
