David T. Erb

David T. Erb, 73, of New Holland PA, went home to his Lord and Savior on November 6, 2015.

He was born in Harrisburg, PA, son of the late David Wilbur and Lois Taylor Erb. David had a deep love for his faith and enjoyed worshiping through music. He played numerous instruments by ear and built many friendships through his love of music. David taught vocational classes at high schools in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He was an instructor at the University of Rio Grande, and worked for Ford Motor Company. He also worked for Gotwals Brothers and AAA. He created and was the editor of “Old Abe’s News”, a magazine about old Case tractors and implements, for twenty years. In addition to the magazine, he authored Full Steam Ahead and his autobiography.

Besides his wife, Sandra Derstine Erb, he is survived by three children: David Kristian, husband of Kimber, Columbia Falls, MT, Heidi, wife of Rodney Stoltzfus, New Holland, PA, and Daniel Menz-Erb husband of Cynthia, Brooklyn, NY, as well as grandchildren: Mason, Natalie, Rodney Luke Stoltzfus, Chloe and Clarissa Erb, and Charlotte Menz-Erb. The memorial service will be held November 21, 11 a.m., visitation 10 a.m., Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 West Orange St., Lititz, PA.
