David M. Hoover, Jr.

David M. Hoover, Jr., 87, of 612 Reidenbach Road, New Holland, passed away at home on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

He was the husband of Anna Martin Hoover. Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late David and Elizabeth Martin Hoover.

David was a retired farmer and a member of the Reidenbach Mennonite Church.

Surviving besides his wife are 12 children, Earl husband of Lizzie Hoover of Ephrata, Nevin Hoover, Erma Hoover, Marlin Hoover, Jeremiah Hoover, Jane Hoover, David Hoover, Philip Hoover Anna Hoover and Lois Hoover all of New Holland, Warren Hoover of Red Run, and Elva Hoover of Millersville; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren,; a brother, Rufus Hoover of New Holland, and a sister, Lydia Martin of Denver. He was preceded in death by infant sons, John, James and Melvin and by siblings, Lizzie Martin, Jonas Hoover, Ben Hoover, Henry Hoover, Anna Martin and Martha Martin.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 29, at 1:30 P.M. at the Reidenbach Mennonite Church Cemetery, 125 Martin Road, New Holland, PA. A Viewing will be held at the late home on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Arrangement by the Groff High Funeral Home, New Holland, PA
