On October 30, 2023, Deane C. Bell , of New Holland, PA, passed from this life to spend eternity with his Savior Jesus Christ.
Deane was born in Lansing, MI on April 3, 1932 and was the son of the late, Raymond and Hazel Bell.
Deane graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1950 and Lansing Business College in 1952. He then worked at G.M. Peet Packing Co. for 3 years as a bookkeeper. In 1955, he commenced working at Farm Bureau Insurance Co. and continued to work there for the next 40 years until retiring in April 1995. His work was in accounting and Mgr. of taxes. Deane also served in the Naval Reserves for 8 years.
Deane married Betty in 1971. They lived in St. Johns, MI for 28 years where Deane came to trust Christ as his Savior in 1973 and was baptized in First Baptist Church of St. Johns. He was a Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Treasurer, on the Missionary Committee, and Usher and he helped with dinners.
Deane and his wife Betty then moved to Maranatha Village, Sebring, FL in 1999 and became active members of Maranatha Baptist Church, where Deane was an Usher and Moderator at the A.M. Bible studies, and also served on the Audit Committee.
In 2006, Deane and Etty moved to New Holland, PA, where Deane was a member of Calvary Church in Lancaster.
Deane enjoyed and participated in sports, particularly golf. He also enjoyed reading the Bible, eschatology, and a broad range of current events.
Surviving are his step daughter, Sue Case and five children from a prior marriage; Therese Beasley, Jea Gonzales, Julie De Marco, Ron Bell, Tom Bell and 8 grandchildren.
At Deane’s request there will be no services.
By the grace of God and blood shed of Jesus, Deane is now home with his Lord and that is the greatest gift he has longed for.
