Deborah A. Bower

Deborah A. Bower, 67, of New Holland, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023 in her home surrounded by family.

Born in Baltimore, MD, to the late Richard Robert Rickels Jr. and Barbara Dayne (Bowling) Novak. She was raised in East Earl by her foster parents, Charles and Mary Gray.

She was the loving companion of the late James W. Burdick, with whom she shared 22 years until the time of his passing in 2021.

She was employed as a retail manager for most of her life at various places. The most recent being Dollar General, and Turkey Hill in Leola, where she retired. She loved her hometown Baltimore Ravens, riding motorcycles, couponing, and photographing the snow geese. She loved spending time with her family.

Deb is survived by two daughters; Shelley M. Floyd (Rickels), and Molly L. Bower girlfriend of Bronson T. Ruth, a stepson; James R. Burdick, grandchildren; Richard Floyd, Alexis Green, Matthew Floyd, Dakota Green and Kailey Floyd and one great grandchild expected to arrive in May. Also surviving are three step granddaughters, brother; Richard Novak (Brenda), sisters; Patricia McBeth (Scott), Cheryl Hurt (Gerry), Pam Sulivan (Dave), and several half siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. A private burial will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
