Deborah F. (Strothers) Usner, 67, took her last breath surrounded by loving family on November 22, 2024, after a short stay at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy.
Debbie is the devoted daughter of Richard L. and Naomi F. (Brubaker) Strothers. The family set up a beautiful life in the community of Terre Hill. They thrived. They excelled.
After Debbie was born along came Donna J. Baxter, wife of Mark Baxter, Keith R. Strothers, husband of Lori Strothers, Susan K. Dehart, wife of David Dehart.
Preceded in death was our beloved sister, Kathleen S. Strothers.
Much love always, Debbie married Dean M. Usner on July 9, 1983, and together they had one son, Derek M. Usner. They also lived and made a beautiful family life in Terre Hill. Dean passed away on October 10, 2009 and they shared 26 years of marriage.
Derek grew up as sons do and met and married Karen, giving Debbie a beautiful daughter-in-law. Derek and Karen have a stunning daughter Willow Lee. Willow is the light, the spark, the adventure, the delight, the joy in Debbie. A beautiful granddaughter to cherish. Derek, Karen and Willow reside in Terre Hill in Derek's childhood home.
Debbie traveled, cooked, shopped, baked, loved her friends, adored being a mom, enjoyed walking beaches, antiquing, and making friends along the way. Debbie retired from The County of Lancaster as a Court Clerk. She served at The District Court in New Holland. She mostly was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, Granny B and a very lucky aunt to nieces, nephews, Kristina, Kelly, Lindsey, Tyler and Kayla, grandnieces and grandnephews. Their family love was fierce and steadfast. Devoted life to each other.
Debbie was in a committed relationship with partner David M. Davis since 2018. They lived their life in Manheim Twp., and they enjoyed the abundance and explorations of diverse cuisine near and in the city. The couple loved New York! They loved trains and taxis, plays and shows, great food was a must. It's amazing who gets together. It's amazing the fun you can have. It was a beautiful surprise for both to experience time together. Their relationship, they had fun and will remain forever in awe they made it grow together.
I took my last breath here on I'm up now. Up with Jesus, no more illness.
No more pain. I won the way. My beautiful light airy soul is finally home. My heart cries out for my family, although my family will be okay. They'll understand it had to be. They'll remember our family's legacy and carry it forth. Always.
You'll feel a breeze, see a beautiful butterfly, you'll remember my ways with you and you'll feel the warmth of my embrace. All is well with our Lord. And all is well with me.
I love you all forever and always.
Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride.
