Debra J. Mckillips

Debra J. McKillips, 54, of Leola, died after a year long illness on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy.

Born in Ephrata she was the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Haas) Ludwig. She was married 34 years on May 12 to Robert “Bob” McKillips, II.

Debra worked as a secretary at the former Sperry New Holland office from 1978 – 1985 and was currently working for Appel and Yost law office in Lancaster.

Debra was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan along with other Philly sports teams. She enjoyed going to the beach at Ocean City, MD and spending time with her family at the family pool.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Kyle R. McKillips of Lancaster; a grandson, Nathan; a brother, Bill, married to Jean (Kauffman) Ludwig of East Earl; and a sister, Sandy Mendenhall of Honey Brook.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 11 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Del Keeney officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 9-11 am. Interment will be held at a later date at the Bridgeville Cemetery.
