Delmar L. Sauder

Delmar L. Sauder, 67, of Gordonville, went to be with Jesus, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. He was the son of Clara (Buchen) Sauder of Ephrata and the late Isaac Sauder. He was the husband of Lois (Lantz) Sauder with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.

Del graduated from Southeastern Bible College and pastored for seven years in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a member of Grace Point Church of Paradise (formerly Paradise Mennonite) where he served as Associate Pastor for 25 years, retiring in 2005.

He was employed by Heritage Custom Kitchens for 23 years and for 10 years at Premier Custom-Built.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Laurie, wife of Dale Hoover of New Holland, Jan, wife of Marty Clemmer of Gordonville, Kara, wife of Glenn Kurtz of Harrisonburg, VA, and Maria, wife of Kevin Beiler of Paradise; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Jay of Meyersdale, PA; and a sister, Joyce Davenport of Fishersville, VA.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6pm on Saturday, May 31 and 2 to 4pm on Sunday, June 1, at Grace Point Church of Paradise, 10 S. Singer Ave., Paradise, PA. The memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1 at 4:00pm at the Church. Private burial will be held at convenience of the family at the New Holland Mennonite Cemetery.
