Dolores M. Kurtz

Dolores M. Kurtz, 79, of New Holland, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Fields) Filbert. She was married 55 years on October 26 to William M. Kurtz.

Dolores retired in 1991 after 35 years as executive secretary to a manager at the New Holland Machine Company, now CNH. Prior to that she worked at a law practice and at Dupont, both in Reading.

Dolores was a former member of the Memorial Church of the Holy Cross United Methodist in Reading, the New Holland Women’s Club and Lancaster County Women’s Club, the New Holland Business and Professional Woman’s Club, and the New Holland Park Board. She enjoyed wildlife, traveling, gardening, cooking, daffodils day, shopping, and knitting Caps for Kids. She was also a Penn State Fan.

Her husband is the only survivor.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 11 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with viewing from 10-11 am. Interment will be in the St. Stephen Cemetery.
