Donald E. Weidman

Donald E. Weidman Sr. of New Holland, died 9:00AM Saturday Dec. 22, 2012. He was the loving husband of Dorothy (Dot) M. Supplee Weidman for 21 years. Born May 3, 1929 in Salunga, PA., He was the son of the late Dallas P. and Della M. Weidman.

He retired as a finish carpenter and kitchen installer for AtrzCraft Kitchens and previously worked for Brubaker Kitchens. He was currently a member of the New Holland United Methodist Church and previously a 50 year member of Chiques United Methodist Church in Mt. Joy, Pa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors along with spending time with family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons Donald (Donna) E. Weidman Jr., York, PA. and Douglas (Sherri) E. Weidman, Bainbridge, Pa., step-sons Garry (Judy) P. Supplee, New Holland, Steve (Vickie) L. Supplee, New Holland, step-daughters, Phyllis (Alan) Maclay, Aiken, South Carolina and Diane (Craig) M. Rice, Lancaster, a sister, Catherine I. Fisher, New Holland, and a brother Carl Weidman. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, along with his beloved companion and friend (dog) Skip. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Jean E. Weidman and a son Dennis E. Weidman.

A viewing will be held at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 West Main Street, New Holland on Thursday, Dec. 27th at 9:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00AM officiated by Pastor Ray Voran. Interment will be made at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA immediately following the service.
