Donna Peters (Miss Daisy), 79, of Leola, was the daughter of the late Robert & Jean Bachman. Daisy’s world tour came to an end on Sunday September 21st.
It was epic! She danced with Flaming Dick and the Hot Rods, cheered on Kevin Harvick, The Flyers, and the Tar Heels basketball team. She twisted a few pretzels in Myrtle beach. There was a trip to Europe and to Hawaii. There was lots of ice cream and shoe fly pie before she pulled the oxygen off her face, blew a kiss and danced off into the sunset, in search of her golden flip flops.
She leaves behind her big brother Bobby Bachman (Ceil), the best daughters ever, Krissy Refford (Norm) and Keleigh Peters (Jerry). Phenomenal Grandkids, Eric Refford, Tara Eby (Pierce), Nicolas Eby (Kali), who will be twisting pretzels in her honor til we see her again and her BFF Wanda Summers who will miss her terribly.
Her family is forever grateful to Hospice & Community care for her excellent care. She also had a special spot in her heart for Ken Fox, physical therapist who became a friend. Arrangements are private at the family’s convenience. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is assisting the family.
