Doris M. Evans

Doris M. Evans, 87, of Narvon, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the home of her daughter Andrea, after a six month illness.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Margaret L. (Wilson) Gentry. Her husband, George T. Evans, died in 2002.

Doris was an antique dealer for about 15 years.

She was a member of Bangor Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir and served on the alter guild. She was also a member of the Caernarvon Historical Society and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are three daughters, C. Andrea, married to Gary Dukeman of New Holland, Susan G., married to Samuel Mann of East Earl, and M. Jean, married to John Howard of Chincoteague, VA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 11 AM at Bangor Episcopal Church, 2099 Main St., Narvon, PA 17555 with the Reverend Mark A. Scheneman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
