Doris I Getz

Doris I. Getz, 88, formerly of Denver, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Manor Care West Reading. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Clay Getz in 1996.

Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Edna DeForest.

Doris was a seamstress and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading and crocheting.

Surviving is a son Douglas Getz, two grandchildren: Shawn Good and Sondra Getz; four great-grandchildren; four siblings: Katharine Senft, Patricia Kenney, Louis Frymyer, and Gary DeForest.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Getz Good.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.at Memory Gardens, with Pastor Brad Haws officiating. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be posted at www.groffeckenroth.com
