Doris Jean Snader

Doris Jean Snader, 68, flew to the Rainbow Bridge to hug all her beloved departed pets, especially Katy. They were the joy of her life and loved her unconditionally.

She is survived by the love of her life, her wife, Dawn. They were partners for 20 years before marrying on July 23, 2015.

Doris graduated Cum laude from Millersville University in 1994 with a business management degree. Doris worked 25 years at RR Donnelley on computer databases as an electronic mail sortation operator. She retired early to spend more time with Dawn.

Doris was an avid reader and loved to work in her garden. She took great joy in watching birds and squirrels at the feeder in her yard.

Doris studied meditation and was a spiritual person. She had kindness for strangers and on many occasions, would pay for a meal or give a hot cup of coffee to a person in need.

Her parents were Delores E. (Hahn) Snader and Ray W. Snader, both of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her siblings: Robert R. husband of Ruth (Dentel) Snader, Jeffrey L. husband of Esther (Rissler) Snader, Julia A. Snader, and John G. husband of Patricia (Suarez) Snader.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
