Doris H. Weaver

Doris H. Weaver, born April 8, 1928, went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2013, in her 86th year.

Born and reared in Allentown, PA, Doris was the daughter of the late Stewart Harvey and Emma Mae Reiff.

She spent her final years as a resident of Garden Spot Village, and is survived by her husband, Reverend Kenneth M. Weaver and their 4 children: Nancy, married to Jay Martin of White Horse, PA, James, married to Tami Vaught, of Keller, TX, Caroline, married to Whitney Parker of Bedminster, NJ, and Angela, married to Michael Schatz of Mount Joy, PA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 sister, Jean, married to Harold Reinert of Allentown, PA.

She was also predeceased by a brother, William Harvey of Allentown, PA.

Doris graduated from Allentown High School, and received her Bachelor’s of Education from Kutztown University. She enjoyed teaching elementary and homebound students for over 45 years.

In August 2012, Doris and her husband celebrated 59 years of marriage, in which they served over 50 years in the pastorate and related ministries.

Doris loved the Lord, and used her God-given gifts to serve Him in a variety of ways, especially in music ministry.

A celebration of Life Service will take place at Garden Spot Village on June 4th at 1:30 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the immediate family.
