Dorothea L. Miller

Dorothea L. Miller, 90, of New Holland, formerly of Morton, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 after a brief illness at Garden Spot Village.

Born in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Theodore and Gertrude (Sturgeon) Hales. She was married 54 years on December 15 to Fred C. Miller.

Dorothea worked as a secretary for Luncheon Is Served in Media, PA.

She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church and Delco Diving Club. She enjoyed ceramics and sewing.

Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 daughters, Dottie Brandley of Virginia, Janyce Turner of Maryland, and Debra Zimmerman of Pennsylvania; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is a brother, Robert Hales.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20 at 10 am at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland with the Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating.
