Dorothy Lorraine Dosch

Dorothy L. Dosch, 93, a resident of Garden Spot Village, formerly of East Earl, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

She was married 73 years to Martin C. Dosch. Born in Pequea, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Beyer Peterman.

Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School. After graduation she worked for the School District of Lancaster for several years. Later she jointly owned and operated with her husband 2 market stands in Germantown and Sharon Hill in Philadelphia for 33 years. After they both retired from their business, Dorothy enjoyed working in the nursery department at Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill in Lititz. She attended Lancaster Alliance Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles and challenging jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Denise Clymer of East Earl; a son, Douglas married to Shirley (Sensenig) Dosch of Blue Ball; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles married to Gail Peterman of Mount Joy. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marcia Jean and by 7 sisters and 3 brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave, New Holland, PA with Pastor Joseph D. Burchill officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
