Dorothy L. (Dottie) Estep, nee Nash, of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, Pennsylvania, slipped into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 12, 2014 at Garden Spot Village.
She was born June 23, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio, to E. William and Myrtle Nash. She is survived by Jack, her husband of 62 years. She is survived also by her daughter, Heidi Ann Estep, of Springfield, IL, grandson John T. Estep and granddaughter Samantha N. Estep, both of
Elgin, IL. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: E. William (Bill) Nash, II, of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Patterson of Sacramento, CA, Louise Koroknay, Mansfield, OH, David Nash, Jacksonville, FL, and Donald Nash, Mansfield, OH.
Her son John H. Estep, Jr., preceded her in death April 19, 2014.
Besides Dottie’s love for her Lord and her family, she loved children as evidenced by her long teaching career and her ministry in churches with kindergarten aged and younger children. She was a graduate of Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, IL, with a degree in Elementary Education. She enjoyed music, reading, cooking, baking goodies and time with friends and family.
She will be missed greatly by her husband, her family and her many friends, all of whom loved her deeply.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m. at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557, with Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating. Private interment will be in the GSV Memorial Garden. If desired, memorials may be sent to the GSV Benevolent Fund, address above. Arrangements are with Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
