Dorothy Mae Hollingsworth of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Boulder, CO died on January 26, 2012. She was born on March 14, 1931 the second of five children to Earl and Clara Gerhart and is survived by two sisters, June Denk and Betty Zimmerman of Lancaster and a brother, Robert Gerhart of Intercourse, PA. A brother, Earl Gerhart preceded her in death. Dottie is survived by her three children David Cooper of Lafayette, CO, Robin Horner of Strasburg, PA and Mark Cooper of Boulder, CO and two step-children, William Hollingsworth of New Holland, PA and Jennifer Gracey of Ephrata, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She married Clarence Cooper in 1949. She married James Hollingsworth in 1969 who died in 2010. Jim and Dottie traveled extensively throughout the USA and in retirement spent their winters in Texas. They were active with numerous friends at the Boulder Elks Lodge. She also acquired many friends through her work as a beautician; a profession she was proud of and enjoyed. She enjoyed travel, cross-stitch, acting, dance, her home and several spoiled cats. She was an avid reader and had an intuitive intellect. There was always a sense of style and grace about her that complimented her playful spirit. Her family expresses their appreciation for the care and comfort given by Magnolias of Lancaster and Hospice of Lancaster County. The Beck Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
