Dorothy J. Stoltzfus Huyett

Dorothy J. Redcay Stoltzfus Huyett, 69, of 3147 Lincoln Hwy. E., Paradise, died Monday, July 23, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Conestoga View, Lancaster.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Arlene (Allison) Redcay. She was married 12 years in June to Norman Huyett.

Dorothy worked for 38 years, retiring in 2009 as a machine operator at Tyson Foods in New Holland.

Dorothy was a member of the Lancaster County CB club since 1997. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, reading, and her cats.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Carol, married to Dale Smeltz, Jr. of Quarryville; a son, Ronald, married to Sonja (Walstrum) Stoltzfus of Paradise; a step daughter, Kimberly Huyett of Ephrata; two step sons, Jason Huyett of Ephrata, and Bryan, married to Elizabeth (Yarborough) Huyett of Germany; three grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; a great grandson; 12 step great grandchildren; three brothers, Lynn, married to Shirley Redcay of Lancaster, Harlan, married to Bernice Redcay of Landisville, and Mervin, married to Sheila Redcay of Jonestown; and her former husband, Emanuel Stoltzfus.

Preceding her in death is a step grandson, Matthew Smeltz.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland. Interment will be in the Stumptown Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9-10 am.
