Dwain M. Engel

Dwain M. Engel, 58, of Leola, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. He was the loving husband of Vicki S. (Kurtz) Engel, with whom he shared over 22 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster, Dwain was a son of Maynard and Nancy (Keck) Engel of Leola.

Dwain attended Forest Hills Mennonite Church and worked as a cabinet maker for over 30 years. He was later employed at Sharp Shopper for the past 6 years. In his spare time he enjoyed attending airshows, airplanes, model trains, Nascar racing, WWII and Civil War history, and Harley motorcycles.

In addition to his wife and his parents, Dwain is survived by his children, Adam and Alison, his grandchildren, his brother, Doug, and his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Judy Kurtz of Lititz.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 4:30 PM at Forest Hills Mennonite Church, 100 Quarry Rd, Leola, PA 17540 with Pastor Jon Carlson officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-4:30 PM at the church prior to services.
