Earl R. Pavelik

Earl R. Pavelik, 77, of New Holland, died on Monday, July 30, 2018. He had been under the care of Hospice and Community Care.

He was married 55 years to Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Johnston Pavelik. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Kurtz Pavelik.

Earl retired in 2001 from Lukens Steel where he had worked for 42 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland. His other memberships included the Brandywine Goddard Lodge #383 F.&.A.M. in Coatesville, the National Rifle Association and the West Caln Sportsman’s Club. His granddaughters were the light of his life and he enjoyed supporting them in any way he could. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, canning, sauerkraut making, and spending time at his cabin in Bradford County.

Surviving besides his wife is a son, Eric M. husband of Michele Timbario Pavelik of New Holland; a daughter, Dana wife of Shawn Rogan of East Earl; four grandchildren, Lauren Pavelik, Morgan Pavelik, Mary Rogan and Clare Rogan. He was preceded in death by siblings, Janet P. Mosteller and Richard B. Pavelik.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 4, at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 221 E. Main St., New Holland, PA with the Rev. Dr. Charles H. Oberkehr officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Masonic Services will be held at the church on Saturday morning at 9:30 A.M. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. If desired, contributions in Mr. Pavelik’s memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
