Earl N. Sensenig

Earl N. Sensenig, 57, of Kirkwood, entered into rest on June 28, 2012 after an 11-month battle with cancer.


He was the husband of Sadie (Weaver) Sensenig. They celebrated 35 years of marriage in January.


Born in West Earl Twp., PA, he was the son of Jeremiah O. and Vera N. Sensenig of Quarryville.


Earl was a lifelong dairy farmer, retiring only recently to haul hay to other local farmers. He was a member of Fairmount Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.


Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sons: Jay Clifford married to Andrea Kreider and Cleason Earl married to Dawn Hurst, both of Kirkwood; a daughter Christina W. married to Marlin High, Jr., of Lebanon and twelve grandchildren.


Also surviving are six brothers: Elmer N., Quarryville; Leon N., Peach Bottom; Jeremiah N., Quarryville; Jason N., Mount Joy; Marlin N., Quarryville; James N., Quarryville; and two sisters: Ada Mae Newswanger, Parkesburg; and Vera Jane Fox, Ronks.


His funeral will be held on Monday, July 2 at 9:30 AM at the Little Britain Reception Center with further services at 10 AM at Fairmount Mennonite Church with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman, Clair Hurst, Richard Burkholder, and Walter Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Martindale Reception Center. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
