Earl F. Weaver, 95, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. In 2015, he was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Grace L. (Lefever) Weaver.

Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Noah W. and Mabel (Martin) Weaver.

Earl was the retired owner of Weaver Memorials in New Holland and Reading.

He was a member of The Community Church at Garden Spot Village and for many years was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church, serving as a church and cemetery trustee and on the building committee. He enjoyed playing golf and pool and was an avid Scrabble player. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Lighthouse Vocational Services and Garden Spot Village.

Surviving are five children: Grant married to Miranda (Montclar) Weaver, Buckley, WA; Violet married to Ken Kreider, Manheim; Steven Weaver, companion of Catherine Sourbeer, Lititz; Tom married to Lori (Prussner) Weaver, Lancaster; Lorene (Lori) Weaver, companion of Bill Potts, Lancaster; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Marian Nolt, New Holland.

He was preceded in death by a brother Lester Weaver and a sister Edna Bowman.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557 with Chaplain Chet Yoder officiating. Interment will be private in New Holland Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, address above. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
