Edith Maxine Blessing

Edith M. Blessing, 88, of Denver, died Friday, February 1, 2019 at York Hospital.

Born in East Earl, she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Kathryn Sandoe Boley.

Edith had worked for the Frank Ix Silk Mill in New Holland, and then with the Ephrata CAP. She was of the Protestant faith. She loved spending time with her family, reading, bingo and playing computer games.

Surviving are four children, Sylvia wife of Gary Kauffman, Eugene husband of Joy Keiffer, Vivian wife of Rodney Hibshman, and Charlene King companion of Ronald White; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and siblings, Polly Gunzenhauser, Charlotte Samuel, Susie Welsh, and Raymond Boley. She was preceded in death by a son, Curt Blessing, Jr, by sisters, Grace Buchanan, Janet Englerth, and Elsie Heck and by brothers, Bud Boley, Fred Boley and Alton Boley.


A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, at 10:00 A.M. at the Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Bridgeville Cemetery,
