Edith S. Horst

Edith S. Horst, 85, of Ephrata, passed away at home on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Bertha Sensenig Horst.

Edith had worked as a Nurses Aide at Ephrata Hospital for 38 years. She was a lifetime member of Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community where she had been part of the Lamplighter’s Sunday School class. She was an avid prayer warrior and scrapbooker. Edith was known for the many many cards she had sent to people over the years.

Surviving is a brother, Mervin S. Horst of New Holland; and two sister-in-law’s, June Horst of Clay and Ruth Horst of Bowmansville. She was preceded in death by siblings Esther Burkho0lder, Lydia Ann Bowman, Grace Weaver, Ray Horst and Leroy Horst.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 11:00 A.M. at the Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, PA. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service., In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Sharing Fund at Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community.
