Elaine L. Flinterman Nussey

Elaine L. Flinterman Nussey, 88, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, formerly of Willow Street and Lansdowne, died Monday, May 14, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Garden Spot Village.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Washington Wilbur and Louise (Marsden) Rowley. Her husbands, Carl Flinterman and Edwin Nussey died previously.

Elaine was a homemaker and also worked as a Medical Administrative Assistant for many years. She was a member of Aldan Union Church in Aldan and Calvary Church in Lititz and she also attended Christian Fellowship in New Holland. She enjoyed singing and was active in the Choir at each church and attended Bible studies. She also volunteered for a few years with Hospice of Lancaster County.

Surviving are three daughters, Sandra Flinterman of Honey Brook, Karen, married to Dennis Macaleer of Harrison City, and Carolyn, married to Ken Hunt of Glenmoore; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is a granddaughter, Katelynn Hunt; and a brother, Ken Rowley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 10 am at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave, New Holland, with the Chaplain Chet Yoder and the Reverend David Allen officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Private interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557.
