Elaine M. Sauder

Elaine M. Sauder, 91, passed away at Ephrata Manor on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Arthur R. “Art” Sauder who died October 14, 2025. Born in Akron, she was the daughter of the late Elam and Florence Artz Sensenig. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Reuben Mumma, Jr.

A devoted mother and quiet woman of faith, she was a lifelong member of Pine Grove Church in Bowmansville. She loved the beach, traveling with Art, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Anyone in her family will tell you she made the best Christmas cookies ever.

Surviving are children, Donald (Barbara) Mumma, Rick (Judy) Gilbert, Jeff (Sherri) Gilbert, Greg Gilbert, Diane (Fred) Smith, and Melodie (Sam) Weaver, Robert Sauder, son-in-law, Bill Hensel, and sister, Karen Gerth. Her memory lives on with her 19 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Hensel and brothers, Charles and Marlin Sensenig.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ephrata Manor and Hospice and Community Care for the excellent care they provided for Elaine.

Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
