Elayne D. Hendrickson

Elayne D. Hendrickson, 90, of New Holland, formerly of Baltimore, MD, died Monday, February 18, 2019, at Garden Spot Village, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Malone, NY, she was a daughter of the late Michael James and Mildred (Hinman) Donahue. Her husband, Lester D. Hendrickson, died May 11, 2016.

Elayne worked for 30 years, retiring in 1988, as an elementary school teacher with the Baltimore County Central School District.

She was currently a member of Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church, the Red Hat Society in New Holland, and the New Holland Women’s Club. She also had a lifelong love of Irish Setters.

Surviving are two children, Earl, married to Jean (Stauffer) Roberts of Easley, SC, and Judy, married to Tony Yarrusso of Townsend, DE; four grandchildren, Michael DeMoss, Dyan DeMoss, Christopher Roberts, and Allison Roberts; and a great granddaughter, Rachel Hill.

Preceding her in death are two brothers, Howard and Douglas Donahue.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15 at 1 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557 with the Rev. Dr. Krisana Poontajak officiating.
