Elizabeth J. Edwards

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Edwards, 90, of Elverson, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Phoenixville Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles Clarke and Ruth M. (Segner) Edwards.

She worked as a bookkeeper and later as a secretary for the Reading Hospital School of Nursing for ten years.

She was a member of the Twin Valley Bible Chapel and volunteered for 25 years with Sandy Cove Ministries in North East, MD. She was a Phillies Fan, enjoyed reading and visiting with people.

Surviving is a daughter, Jeanne Ann, married to Richard D. Lanser, Jr. of Elverson; three grandchildren, Valerie, married to Jason Huyard, Adam Lanser, and Jennifer, married to Andrew Holets.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Paul W. Miller, Jr.; and her stepfather, Paul W. Miller, Sr.

A memorial service at Twin Valley Bible Chapel will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in the Caernarvon Cemetery.
