Ella Heuyard, 90, of Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, formerly of Lititz, went home to be with her Lord, and her daughter, Elouise Faye Kuhns, on April 10, 2015, after a brief illness.
Born in Upper Leacock Twp., she was the daughter of the late Elam Garfield and Stella (Evans) Buchen. Her husband, Elwood F. Heuyard, died in 1983.
Ella worked for 30 years in the cutting room at Shorenson Company in Brownstown.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed Word Search puzzle books, reading her Bible, playing Scrabble, singing, her church, her favorite color purple, and her daughter Elouise.
Surviving are three sons, Floyd, married to Barbara (Ream) Heuyard of Denver, Elwood F. “Butch” Heuyard, Jr. of Ephrata, and Adam “Skip”, married to Wanda (Clawges) Heuyard of Lititz; six grandchildren, Brandon, Robin, Josh, Benny, Elizabeth, and Gloria Heuyard; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Ranck of Lancaster.
Preceding her in death is a daughter, Elouise Faye Kuhns, March 2014; two sisters, Arlene Buckwalter, and Stella Buchen; and twp brothers, Al and Mel Buchen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 1 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Road, Denver, PA 17517, with the Reverend Keith Sweitzer officiating. Interment will be in the Brownstown Evangelical Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Tuesday from Noon – 1 PM. If desired, memorials may be made to the Mt.
