Ellen F. Rodgers, 85, of Lancaster, formerly of Blue Ball, died Thursday, February 5, 2015.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Edward Fuller and Sue (Clifford) Fuller Graham. She was married 43 years on April 2 to Arthur Jay Rodgers.
Ellen was a graduate of Coatesville Area High School and also studied choral direction at Lancaster Bible College. She worked as an executive secretary and office manager, most recently for the Ephrata Manufacturing Company.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church where she was an elder and served as the choir director for many years. She was also a member and past Worthy Matron of the former Samuel Fear Chapter (Honeybrook), now Lititz Springs Chapter No. 499 Order of Eastern Star, and the Blue Ball Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was an accomplished soloist and musician and enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls, and helping serve meals with Meals on Wheels in the New Holland area.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, R. Thomas Fellenbaum, married to Stephanie Wilds of Old Fort, NC, Debra (Fellenbaum), married to Mark Hiester of Millersburg, Robert, married to Linda (Pape) Fellenbaum of Lancaster, and Joel, married to Lynda (Seuss) Rodgers of Somerville, MA; two grandsons; a step-grandson; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward Fuller of Lancaster, and Richard Fuller of Coatesville.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, James, Donald, and David Fuller; and a sister, Alda Osborn.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11 am at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church, 4833 Division Hwy., East Earl, with the Reverend Dr. Krisana Poontajak officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. In celebration of Ellen’s life, the family asks those attending the service to wear a splash of color.
