Elsie N. Bowman

Elsie N. Bowman, 87, a resident of Calvary Homes, died on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Dallas H. Bowman who died in 2002. Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Lizzie M. Nolt Rissler.

Elsie was a private duty nurse for many years. She was a member of Calvary Church. Her interests included traveling to all 50 states and 28 countries, crafts and reading.

Surviving is a son, Mark husband of Vickilynn (Armstrong) Bowman of Circleville, WV, a daughter, Ilene Bowman of Fairfax, VA; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; four sisters, Vera Rissler, Emma Rissler, Edith wife of Mervin Weaver, and Mae wife of Kenneth Zook; two brothers,

Menno Rissler, and Isaac Rissler. She was preceded in death by sisters, Miriam Rissler , Lily Kasbaum and by brothers, Melvin, Mahlon,and Raymond Rissler.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, at 1:00 P.M. at the Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA with Pastor Kevin Brown officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Private interment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
