Elsie Jean Cooper

Elsie Jean (Ziemer) Cooper, 91, passed away on November 28, 2022 as a resident of Berks Heim.

Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nora (Styer) Ziemer.

She was the loving wife of the late Melvin George Cooper, with whom she shared fifty-seven years of marriage until the time of his passing in 2008.

She was a member of Alleghenyville United Church of Christ and was primarily a Homemaker, while doing various cleaning jobs and factory work. She enjoyed needlework, feeding birds, going to the beach, gardening and doing activities with her children when they were younger and in later years she enjoyed getting together for holidays and visits with the family.

Elsie is survived by her children, Dottie widow of Daniel Heskett and Betty wife of Bruce Fassero, her grandchildren Zachary husband of Kate Heskett and Joshua husband of Andrea Heskett. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Ariana Heskett and Genevieve Heskett and her sister, Florence Huyett.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is predeceased by her grandson, Chadwick Lutz and her fourteen brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at C. Stanley Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 East Main Street, Terre Hill PA 17581. There will be a time of viewing from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be held in Alleghenyville Union Cemetery.
