Elsie K. Weaver

Elsie K. (Buckwalter) Weaver, 87, of 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, formerly of Martindale, died Friday, May 9, 2024, at Fairmount Homes.

Elsie was the wife of the late Benjamin Z. Weaver with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Sarah (Kurtz) Buckwalter.

Elsie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Martindale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Elsie is survived by three children, Ronald B. married to E. Rosene (Bruckhart), of Ephrata, Marlene B. married to Clifford L. Fox, of East Earl and Ilene B. married to Stanley D. Rutt, of Denver, 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 siblings, Anna Nolt of Myerstown, PA and Edgar married to Elizabeth Buckwalter of Ephrata.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Weaver, 3 siblings, Martha K. wife of late Titus Z. Nolt, Nora wife of Irwin H. Martin, Mabel K. wife of late Luke E. Lehman and a still born sister, Sarah.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 9:30 AM at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 905 Martindale Road, Ephrata, PA with Bishop Amos G. Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Wheat Ridge Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, PA is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
