Emma Kathryn Frey

Emma Kathryn Frey, 95, of Denver, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Ivan H. Stone, Sr. and Florence (Heuyard) Stone. Her husband of 65 years, Alvin L. Frey, died July 4, 2007.

She worked at the Ephrata Shoe factory where she retired. She enjoyed reading daily newspapers, her Bible and the Daily Bread. She loved flowers and getting together with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Surviving are three children, Bonnie, married to James Witman of East Earl, Brenda Baker of Long Island, NY, and Robert Frey of Denver; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; five sisters, Marian Miller of New Holland, Mary Byers of New Holland, Mabel Weaver of Lititz, Hazel Spence of Mt. Joy, and Constance, married to Carl Adams of Blue Ball; and a brother Kenneth Stone of New Holland.

Preceding her in death is a daughter, Betty June Gravely (July 21, 2009); two brothers, Ralph G., and Ivan Stone, Jr.; and three sisters, Evelyn Weaver, Janet Stover, and Charlotte Reeser.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Fred P. Raupp officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Viewing will be held on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 9-10 am. If desired donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
