Emma W. Hoover

Emma W. (Martin) Hoover, 92, of 896 Reading Rd., East Earl, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Daniel W. Hoover. Born in Caernarvon Twp., she was the daughter of the late Amos and Magdelene (Weaver) Martin. She was a member of the Black Creek Mennonite Church. Surviving are six sons: Ivan M. Hoover, at home; Paul M. Hoover, East Earl; Noah M. Hoover, Amos M. Hoover and Daniel M. Hoover, all of KY; Samuel M. Hoover, East Earl; five daughters: Mary M. Hoover, at home; Lena married to Harvey Martin, KY; Ella married to Samuel Martin, New Holland; Jane married to Adin Hoover, KY and Emma married to Wayne Martin, KY; 82 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; three brothers: David Martin, Rueben Martin and Amos Martin and one sister, Annie Martin. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Mabel Hoover and Ruth Hoover and eight sisters. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 2 PM at Reidenbach Mennonite Church with Bishop Aaron Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Tuesday from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
