Enda Gunning

Enda Gunning, 85, of 25 Cove Rd., Duncannon, formerly of New Holland, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Kinkora Pythian Home where she had resided for the past several years. Her husband, Thomas J. Gunning, preceded her in death in 1996.

Born in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Cecily (Garvey) Dockerty.

Enda had been a mail clerk at the former Sperry New Holland and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, New Holland.

After her retirement, she enjoyed being with her breakfast group and her family.

Surviving are two children: Stephanie K. married to Paul Hinkel, Millerstown and David Gunning, New Holland; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three siblings: Harry Dockerty, David Dockerty, and Cecily Morga.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery. The Beck Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements. Video or written condolences may be posted online at www.beckfuneral.com.
