Ervin H. Burkholder

Ervin H. Burkholder, 68, formerly of New Holland, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late John Dan and Kathryn (Hoover) Burkholder.

Ervin last served as a taxi driver for the Plain community. He had attended The Worship Center.

Surviving are five siblings: Irene Weaver, Lewisburg, Martha (Reuben) Zimmerman, Thorp, WI, Harvey (Ellen) Burkholder, Stevens, John (Rachel) Burkholder, Leola, Alta (John) Newswanger, Stanley, NY, a sister-in-law Margaret Burkholder, New Holland and a brother-in-law Aaron Martin, Penn Yan, NY.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister Eva Martin, a brother Clarence Burkholder and a brother-in-law, Aden Weaver.

A graveside service will be held at Groffdale Old Order Mennonite Cemetery on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. Viewings will be held at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, is in charge of arrangements.
