Estelle Ann Baxter

Estelle Ann Baxter, 86, of 400 Stevens Road, Denver, formerly of New Holland, died Friday, March 30, 2012 after a lengthy illness at the Denver Nursing Home.

Born in Honey Brook, she was the daughter of the late John William and Mabel Mae (Huyette) Boyer. Her husband, Joseph Baxter, died March 10, 2011.

Estelle worked for over 25 years as a weaver for the former Frank Ix and Sons Silk Mill in New Holland and later for 10 years in the kitchen at the former Peoples Restaurant in New Holland.

She enjoyed making jewelry.

Surviving are two nephews, John, married to Cathy Howells of Bridgeton, NJ, and H. Wesley, married to Lois Boyer of East Earl; and four nieces, Romaine, married to Jay Martin of Stevens, Barbara Boyer of Reading, D. Lindsey Maurer of Douglassville, and Marie Boyer of Wyomissing.

Preceding her in death is a daughter, Deborah Lynn Baxter; two brothers, Harold W. and John W. Boyer; a sister, Dorothy M. Howells; and a nephew, Albert Fisher.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, with the Reverend H. Wesley Boyer officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marks Episcopal Cemetery, Honey Brook. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Funeral Home from 9-10 am.
